T!Leo with his sonic/shadow obsession?

You know how some people in the Sonic fandom yell and cheer whenever they see Maria die? Yeah that's Leo XD which Donnie and April only find out when they go to watch the Sonic 3 Movie and Leo embarasses them in front a whole movie theater audience.

One of the funniest parts about the whole “Leo not giving Draxum any grace” idea is that Draxum is one of the ONLY notable older men in the show that Leo isn’t willing to give a proper second chance to OR really hear out in the first place.

No seriously it’s genuinely a Thing.

Headcanon #18

Leo is a great detective.

It is already established that Leo is great at strategy, which means the he's good at spotting small details that most people miss.

I imagine that when they were younger the turtles liked watching those murder mystery shows with Splinter. Eventually, they turned guessing the killer into a contest. April later joined them in it on the weekends.

Donnie probably ended up watching true-crime shows just to beat Leo in guessing, which backfired when Leo started joining him in watching them and it became a twin thing.

Raph and Mikey probably, at one point, teamed up to try and cheat by Google-ing episode synopsis before everyone watched it. But Donnie's No-Cheater Sensors (Patent-pending) immediately pinged the search and Raph and Mikey lost a point each for the attempted cheating.

Leo took pride in his winning streak, but probably wouldn't, truly, mind all that much if he lost. Not that he wouldn't play up the dramatics. His favorite part of the contest was watching the shows with his family.

Leo still rubs his ability to always guess the killer in everyone's faces.

One time, after Leo rubbed it in a little too much, April, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey agreed to cheat just to knock him off his high horse. They picked a movie that many people said the plot twist was impossible to guess, and then they learned the plot twist before hand.

During the next Sibling Movie Night they played the movie, and they were ready to wait for the perfect time to place their guess. Until Leo guessed, within the first 15 minutes, what the plot twist was. The following conversation was hilarious.

Leo: Yeah those two's vibes ar- Uh guys?

April, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey: *Jaws dropped*

Leo, getting worried: Are you guys okay?

April, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey, still not reacting: *Mentally going "What the fuck"*

Leo, poking them in the face, trying to hide his concern: Helloooo, anyone home?

April, Raph, Donnie, and Mikey: *A fly flies up April's nose and comes out her mouth*

Leo, blatantly concerned and on the verge of an anxiety attack: DAD!!!!

After that Splinter had to come in and wave his socks in their faces to get them to un-freeze. They all silently agreed not to cheat again.

- she was the one that braided Venus’ mask and Venus kept the look

- She always likes to point out that her & raph look like ketchup & mustard because of their mask colors , ketchup mustard duo >:0 !!

Lita :

- Party costume : pink fairy

- She really wants to go to elementary school >:v

- Obviously not skillful on ninjitsu yet but she’ll get there and tries her best <3

- has a Lee the Eel look-alike toy she keeps and names it “the slithery”

Okay, Imma talk incohernetly about 2012 Raph because I have feelings.

So, this train of thought started when I noticed that he always sits farthest away from the TV. Mikey and Leo are practically nosing the screen and Donnie sits close as well when he's actually there, but Raph is usually a solid 15 feet away at least. At first I thought it was because he just didn't care for television; he was usually reading a comic after all.

But then I was watching him more carefully, and I don't think that's entierly it. See, he doesn't seem to like being surprised by things. When Mikey walked in with his *imaginateive* pizza he screamed. Actuall involuntary yell of distress there. When the Shell Raizer crashed around the corner that one time Donnie rescued them all he leapt the highest and stayed crouched down long after all the others were calm and talking.

As someone who watches movies with my dad on occasion I can relate to subconciously scooting away from the screen. The volume is fine enough for the talking scenes, BUT IT COULD CHANGE SCENES AT ANY MOMENT AND BE WAY TOO LOUD OR THE LOUD MUSIC COULD START OR SOMETHING HORRIFYING COULD JUMP UP ON SCREEN AND IT WOULD BE LOUD!! I don't think he dislikes loud noises (he yells and plays the drums after all). I think he dislikes surprises, and sudden movements, and noises he can't predict or controll. As long as he's expecting it he's fine, but as soon as something surprises him he's easily the most high strung of the brothers. Whether his reaction be to stab it, or shriek, or both.

And if you're touching elbows with your brothers they'll feel it when you jump at that scene change.

Am I making sense? I had more scenes in my head where he was doing stuff like this, but I can't remember them now.

Does anyone else think the bird jokes are overused and redundant :/

Like people reduce Tokoyami’s whole personality to a single physical trait and I just think it’s weird. In mha canon not a single (good) person makes jokes about tsu, shoji, or Tokoyami’s heteromorph traits. Tokoyami doesn’t even exhibit any bird traits (except the perching), that’s all headcanon. The only one who brings up his avian appearance is hawks. There are only 5 instances I can remember someone saying something about mutant appearances (excluding the direct assault against shoji and ordinary woman)

Mineta calling shoji octopus, which he then apologizes for after finding out how rude that is to say

Jiro saying “that damn bird” when dark shadow blocked her attack. It felt more like a statement of her frustration than an insult.

Bakugo calling tokoyami bird brain, which is normal for him

Dabi calling spinner lizard, and spinner getting offended and yelling at him (I don’t remember if he continues to do it afterwards)

Shoto calling that police chief a mutt, there was no excuse for that, that was just racist

And still I think these are pretty tame compared to how the fandom treats heteromorphs!! The stereotyping of Tokoyami and hawks is absolutely insane. I love when people come up with headcanons for them having more avian traits but when those traits become the butt of the joke it’s extremely distasteful. If I see one more cannibalism joke about eating chicken I’m gonna hurt something. You guys do realize birds eat other birds all the time right???? There is a reason “chicken hawk” is a name. A hawk literally tried to attack my chickens yesterday, they love chicken. That is the reason hawks favorite food is chicken. I can see why tokoyami would want to hide his avian traits because if people in mha are like ours he would have been bullied to hell.

I know people making bird jokes are just having fun, but it’s just really weird to me. It’s important to see the comparison between real life racism and the heteromorph racism in mha. There is a reason horikoshi adds the mutant rally in the final war arc, the lesson there has flown over so many people’s heads. I hope this post gives you more insight to look beyond appearances and actually try to understand these side characters a bit better.
